Behind the scenes

A gallery the audience can scroll, tap, and see who's in it.

Photos from the rehearsal room and dress rehearsals. The host uploads each shot, writes a caption, tells the story, and tags the cast members who appear. Audience swipes on mobile, taps any photo for the full-size view.

  • Swipe on mobile
Native scroll-snap · flick left or right to flip through every photo. Pagination dots show position.
  • Click to open
Tap any image. The lightbox shows the full-size photo with caption, description, and tagged cast · click a cast chip to land on that performer's profile.
  • Featured slots
Mark one or more photos as featured to give them full-width treatment in the grid. Reorder with the up / down arrows in the editor.
  • Cast tagging
Tag the people in each photo by picking from your org's roster. Tags become links on the live page.

Sponsorship

Sell sponsor slots. We process the payment.

Hosts open presenting, major, and supporting slots at any price they choose. Sponsors check out through Stripe, pay the host, upload their own logo via a private dashboard. Hallflyers takes a small platform fee and routes the rest to the host's connected account.

  • Three tier shapes
Presenting (full-width banner), major (big block), supporting (small block). Host picks which to offer, sets the USD price, caps the slot count.
  • Sponsors self-serve
Audience-side page lists open tiers with remaining slots. Sponsor pays, gets a magic-link dashboard to upload logo, edit lockup, and request a refund within 14 days.
  • Host controls
Approve or reject submissions, refund any slot inline, drop comp sponsors (board members, in-kind partners) onto the playbill without a charge, send branded invite emails.
  • Fee schedule
Hallflyers takes 15% on Single event + Starter, 10% on Growth, 5% on Civic. Stripe processing on top. Sponsors available on every paid tier.

Cast & crew profiles

A page for every performer, with the shows they've been in.

Each cast or crew member lives in your org's roster · name, slug, photo, bio. They get their own public profile page that shows their bio plus every published program they've appeared in, with the role they played each time.

  • Per-org roster
Add a cast member once. Pull them into any program you publish. The roster lives at /app/[org]/cast and survives across seasons.
  • Photo + bio
Square photo upload to Supabase Storage, plus a short bio paragraph. Photos render circular on the program page and full-size on the profile.
  • Recent plays
Each performer's profile page shows every program they've been in (filtered to published + public), in reverse chronological order, with the role they played.
  • Linked from photos
When a cast member is tagged in a gallery photo, their chip in the lightbox links straight to their profile.

Backroom chat

A YouTube-style live chat for cast, crew, and audience.

During the run of the show, anyone with the program URL can post a message. Break-a-leg notes from the Darcy family, last-minute house-light cues from the booth, a backstage holler from the SM — all in one feed, in order. Available on Single Event, Growth, and Civic.

  • One thread per program
Each show gets its own /chat URL. Cast, crew, and audience all post in the same stream — no app, no login, no separate room to find.
  • Pick a name
First message asks for a display name ("The Darcy family", "SM Booth"). The browser remembers it for the run of the show.
  • Shared link
Hosts share the URL however they want — printed in the program, backstage Slack, public scan page. Whoever has the link can post.
  • Included on paid tiers
Growth ($194 / yr), Civic ($298 / yr), and the $99 single event include chat. Starter doesn't surface it.

Show ratings

A full-screen ask, the moment the curtain comes down.

As soon as the show's scheduled end time passes, the audience's program flips to a rating popup. Five stars, an optional note, one tap to send. Hosts see the score and the comments in the editor — no separate survey tool, no QR card in the lobby.

  • Auto-fires post-curtain
The popup appears the moment schedule.endsAt has passed. Before then, the program reads normally. After, the rating ask owns the screen.
  • Five stars + a note
Tap a star, type a sentence if you want. Anonymous by default; signed if the audience opted into chat with a display name.
  • Live in the editor
Hosts see the running score and every comment in the host dashboard. Pin the best ones to next season's program.
  • Every tier
Ratings ship on Single Event, Starter, Growth, and Civic. It's not a paywalled feature — it's the natural close of every show.

A 250-copy paper playbill from PLAYBILLder · the industry-standard printer schools and community theaters use · runs $145 per showfor an 8-page booklet with a color cover and black-and-white interior. That's before design hours, before late-edit reprints, before the stack of unsold copies hits the recycling bin.

250 copies · 8 pages · color cover, B&W interior

  • Edit means reprint. A cast swap two days before opening doubles the line item.
  • Design hours unpaid. A parent volunteer or the stage manager works through the weekend.
  • Leftovers go in the bin. You order ahead of ticket sales. Unsold copies are landfill.
  • 16 pages is $376. Same printer, same run, more pages · published rate.
